Virtual Pet Quality of Life Consultations
We will connect with you virtually via Google Meets or for those not comfortable with video, we can conduct this consultation by phone. Which ever method you choose we will contact you and talk with you about your pet’s condition and quality of life. If we have never examined your pet in person, we are unable to give a diagnosis or prescribe treatment. We can talk to you about your pet’s disease(s), discuss what to expect, talk to you about quality of life for you and your pet, and help you navigate the hardest part about being a pet owner. This consultation usually takes 45-60min – $125. Prior to this consultation, please fill out our Quality Of Life Form.
In-Home Consultation
Any condition that is terminal or will limit your pet’s quality of life moving forward can be addressed with palliative medicine. Our goal is to keep your pet happy and comfortable at home!
Hospice/Palliative Care Consult $375 (plus any medications or treatments administered). More than a 30 mile radius from the clinic, pricing will be based on mileage. The hospice visit includes a Quality of Life Consultation followed by an Examination. A house call generally takes 1-2 hours and includes:
- Records review
- Quality of life evaluation
- Examination by Certified Hospice Veterinarian
- Detailed plan for care
- Communication with your veterinarian (if not already a patient)
- Discount on home euthanasia
- Up to 90 days of phone and email consultations for your pet
Recheck examinations $275 within a 30 mile radius of clinic (more than 30 miles additional charges apply).
In-Home Pet Euthanasia
We can help you say goodbye to your pet. Our doctors will provide a peaceful passing for your pet in the comfort of your home.
In-Home Pet Euthanasia $375 (more than a 30 mile radius from the clinic, pricing will be based on mileage). Our in-home pet euthanasia services range from 20-60 minutes and include:
- A discussion about your concerns, thoughts, or questions surrounding in-home euthanasia.
- Pet sedation to ease discomfort; you deserve your final memory of your pet to be calm and comfortable. This injection of pain medication and sedatives will allow your pet to drift off to a peaceful sleep before the final injection is administered.
- Sedation assessment, to ensure your pet is sleeping deeply and no longer responds to stimulation.
- Euthanasia injection.
- Memorial keepsake box
included in box:- A blanket for your pet.
- A paw print keepsake (made at home) and a lock of fur, if desired.
- A pet loss book to help the family.
- A special eutha-bag to place your pet in for transport (goodbye messages can be written on bag if desired).
- Transportation for cremation, if selected (see the Aftercare Pricing section more information).
- A courtesy notification to your family’s veterinarian of your pet’s passing for their records (if you are not a RVG client).
After Care
The doctor or technician will transport your pet and will treat them with dignity and respect at all times.
Remains Removal:
Remains Removal $50 (more than a 30 mile radius from the clinic, pricing will be based on mileage). If your pet passes away of natural causes at home a veterinary technician will come to you. Your pet will be placed in a special eutha-bag and transported to the crematory for the cremation option of your chose (price does not include the cost of cremation).
Private Cremation:
- Up to 20 pounds: $250
- 21 to 99 pounds: $275
- Over 100 pounds: $300
This option includes a wooden urn with custom engraving of your choice. Private cremation is performed by a local crematory and your pets cremains can be picked up directly at the crematory, or we can arrange delivery back to your regular veterinarian's office.
Communal Cremation:
- Up to 20 pounds: $150
- 21 to 99 pounds: $175
- Over 100 pounds: $200
This option is for families who do not prefer a home burial, but need their pet to be cremated and do not wish to have cremains returned.
